Fishing
I first came to Los Cabos in August of 1985
and when I returned in October of 1985 me and some friends rented a panga out of
La Playita and caught 7 wahoo (2 were about 70 lbs.), 10 Dorado & 3
Tuna. Since then I have been fishing here hundreds of times and have
caught many more fish including a 400 lb. Black Marlin. I would like to help all
of you have a great time fishing here in Los Cabos so here is some info to help

700 lb Black Marlin
This huge Marlin was caught 9/28/2000 a few miles off Cerro Colorado on
a Zuker ZM 5.5, bleeding mackerel pattern with a Penn 80SW with 100lb
test in 1 hour 48 minutes by Dennis Connors on the Eagle I, Captain Chacho
Pangas are available for $150 - $170 a day. These are open 22' boats
that will hold up to 3 people. I hooked and landed a 400 lb. black
marlin in one of these boats. They usually leave about sunup and return
between 12-1:00 P.M.
I also have cruisers available for $350 - $1000 per day that will hold
4-8 people. These boats leave at about 7:00 A.M. and return at about
2:00 P.M. Bait and tip for the captain is extra.
Tuna, Dorado, Wahoo and Marlin can be caught in the Los Cabos area.
